Spray, Powder or Bait station?

Spray Sprays are effective when you need to target ants in a specific area and want to reduce the risk of affecting non-target species. For example, if ants have entered your home but the nest is outside in an area that does not cause a nuisance, spraying them inside the house (and taking measure to prevent their return) will be a good option so that the ants outside can be left in peace!

Powders Powders can be effective when trying to destroy nests as ants will carry the powder back to their homes. It can also be a good option where the ants are not always directly accessible as it can be left in an area until the ants come to visit. Caution should always be taken to avoid leaving it in areas that may affect non-target species such as bees.

Bait Stations Ant bait stations work by allowing the ants to enter the station where they get coated in insecticide. They then bring the insecticide back to their nests where it is spread amongst their colony.

Foggers Foggers are a great option for killing ants when the infected area is enclosed (such as a room or garage). They fill the room with chemicals that kill off the ants, even in hard to reach places that can't be reached by powders or sprays. Caution should be taken as the chemicals will also kill any other species of insect in the area as well. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
