Shop: Cockroach Killer Products

Cockroaches pose a direct risk to human health, carrying diseases that can cause food poisoning and other health issues. Our cockroach killer sprays, powders and foggers below are professional strength that are made available for amateur use so you can be sure the problem will be dealt with as efficiently as possible.

What Are They?

There are two main types of cockroach in the UK; the Oriental cockroach and the German cockroach, although various other species exist. Regardless of which type you are dealing with, the process of eradicating them will be the same.

Cockroaches are robust survivors. They can even survive without their heads for a number of days by breathing through tiny holes in their bodies. Therefore, ensuring you use the appropriate strength insecticides to deal with them is essential in achieving good results.

Despite having wings, they rarely fly. They are, however, incredibly fast so trying to catch them manually can be a real challenge. They can live for months without food (of which they will eat just about anything), however they cannot survive more than a few days without water.

Signs Of An Infestation

Cockroaches are nocturnal so there may be an infestation without you ever actually seeing the pests themselves. Signs they are present are; droppings, cases from their hatched eggs, bits of shed skin, foul odours and damage to food packaging.

Where Will They Be?

Cockroaches prefer to live indoors, with the german cockroach preferring warmer conditions and humidity (such as behind fridges, ovens or other electrical goods that give off heat) and the oriental cockroach preferring cooler, damp conditions (e.g. drains, areas of damp in the house or basements). Both kinds can also be found in other humid areas of a house such as bathrooms or boiler rooms and will be especially prevalent if they have easy access to food and water.

Spray, Powder or Bait station?

Spray Sprays are effective when you need to target cockroaches in a specific area and want to reduce the risk of affecting non-target species. The spray can be applied directly to the pests who will be knocked down quickly, before being removed and disposed of appropriately.

Powders Powders can be effective when you can see where the cockroaches frequent but they scatter before you can reach them. The powder can be left in an area until the cockroaches come to visit. Caution should always be taken to avoid leaving it in areas that may affect non-target species.

Foggers Foggers are a great option for killing cockroaches when the infected area is enclosed (such as a room or garage). They fill the room with chemicals that kill off the roaches, even in hard to reach places that can't be reached by powders or sprays, such as holes and crevices. Caution should be taken as the chemicals will also kill any other species of insect in the area as well. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.

For larger infestations, employing a combination of powders, sprays and foggers can achieve the best results. Following treatment, ensuring good hygiene practices and rooms are properly ventilated can prevent them coming back. Our Triple Ultra Sonic Pest Repller can also be used for 24/7 protection.
