Spray, Powder or Bait station?
Spray Sprays are effective when you need to target insects in a specific area and want to reduce the risk of affecting non-target species. For example, if insects have entered your home but their nest is outside in an area that does not cause a nuisance, spraying them inside the house (and taking measure to prevent their return) will be a good, direct option.
Powders Powders can be effective when trying to destroy nests as insects will carry the powder back to their homes. It can also be a good option where the insects are not always directly accessible as it can be left in an area until the insects come to visit. Caution should always be taken to avoid leaving it in areas that may affect non-target species.
Bait Stations Ant bait stations work by allowing the ants to enter the station where they get coated in insecticide. They then bring the insecticide back to their nests where it is spread amongst their colony.
Foggers Foggers are a great option for killing insects when the infected area is enclosed (such as a room or garage). They fill the room with chemicals that kill off the insects, even in hard to reach places that can't be reached by powders or sprays. Caution should be taken as the chemicals will also kill any other species of insect in the area as well. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
