Shop: Spider Killer Products

The presence of spiders can be a distressful time for any household and getting rid of them can be crucial for peace of mind. We supply a range of sprays, powders and foggers that are effective in alleviating these issues. Our Insecto range contains professional strength insecticide available for amateur use, whereas our Organ-X range provides a great pesticide-free solution.

Characteristics

Native UK spiders are not considered dangerous to humans, however they can still cause distress as they are a common fear amongst the population. If you are unsure whether the species you are dealing with is native, please ensure you take proper precautions and advice accordingly. Information can be obtained from the RSPCA shelter.

Spiders are usually found in warm, sheltered places in homes such as dark corners or crevices. They're more likely to enter your premises during the colder months and can cause a nuisance by spinning webs. Females can lay hundreds of eggs at a time so keeping on top of them can reduce the risks of incurring a sudden fright!

Treatment

Spiders are present when there is a source of prey (such as flies) so ensuring there is no source of food for them can be as effective as tackling the spiders directly. Counterintuitively, spiders are great at catching flies (which are more of a health risk to humans), so you should consider weighing up this natural pest management against the emotional distress they cause.

However, to alleviate the immediate emotional distress caused by their presence, we supply sprays that can knock them down quickly, or for larger infestations powders and foggers can be used to clear infected areas and rooms. Our plug in spider repeller can also be used to keep them at bay going forward.

Spray, Powder or Fogger?

Spray Sprays are effective when targeting spiders directly. With an instant knock-down effect, the spiders will be killed almost instantly, allowing for easy disposal.

Powders Powders are a good choice when there is a larger infected area, making spraying the spiders individually impractical, and there is less risk of affecting non-target species.

Foggers Foggers are a great option for killing spiders when the infected area is enclosed (such as a room or garage). They fill the room with chemicals that kill off the spiders, even in hard to reach places that can't be reached by powders or sprays such as cracks and crevices. Caution should be taken as the chemicals will also kill any other species of insect in the area as well. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
